About Race Engines Plus
In January 2011 Joey Arrington separated Virginia based Arrington Manufacturing's Racing Engine operation
into a new business entity - Race Engines Plus. The business was
established in Concord, NC and is located on Weddington Road in the building previously occupied
by the Gillett Evernham Motorsports Engine Shop.
Race Engines Plus (REP) provides Race Engines for the top three NASCAR Series (Cup, NNS, and Truck) as well as NHRA, ARCA, USAR and other short track racing.
REP has built its reputation in the
racing world thanks in large part to the Dodge engines it
produced and the success those engines had in the NASCAR
Truck Series. Arrington cranked out the power plants that earned the 2004 and 2005 NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series Manufactures Award and Engine Builder Award, winning
Championships with Ted Musgrave and the late Bobby Hamilton.
Now, the company is working toward extending its legacy by adding Toyota engines to its stable.
When Dodge announced it would pull out of the truck series for
2009 Arrington was ready to adjust. REP
has made an agreement with Toyota to build NASCAR race engines.
Being located in the heart of NASCAR Country, where the greatest concentration
of NASCAR teams are headquartered,
has allowed REP to staff its Concord facility with highly skilled engine
builders. Cumulatively its employees represent over 100 years of racing
experience.
