OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
-
DO NOT use this charger to charge alkaline or other types of throwaway batteries.
-
Plug charger into any standard 110/120 volt AC outlet.
-
Lift the easy opening plastic lid.
-
ALL BATTERY SIZES -- AAA, AA, C AND D MUST BE LOADED IN LIKE SIZE PAIRS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 9-VOLT SIZE.
-
For the pairs of AAA, AA, C and D sized, use the battery diagram at the bottom of each charger compartment as the guide for positioning the "pair" of batteries
correctly.
NOTE that the positive (+) terminals face the same direction within each compartment. The positive (+) and negative (-) labels on each battery should correspond
with those (+) and (-) markings indicated at the bottom of the charging compartment into which the battery is seated.
Insert as follows:
- Lay battery in proper orientation (see above) and pull back the slider. Battery should automatically seat in the proper position. Release slider for snug fit
and contact.
-
The AAA battery should drop to the bottom position. If necessary, push batteries with fingers.
NOTE: It is safe to load and unload the GE Battery Charger while it is plugged in. The charger produces low power direct current (D.C.) to charge batteries.
- To charge GE 9-Volt size (7.2 volt actual) batteries, insert either one or two 9-Volt size batteries into place by properly mating connectors and
firmly snapping them into place.
-
Watch the two LED indicator lights. Each glowing light means charge current is being received by that respective size AAA, AA, C or D battery pair
or single size 9V battery.
If an associated light fails to glow:
-
Be sure charger is plugged into a working AC outlet.
-
Be sure batteries are inserted properly.
-
Use a pencil eraser on both charger and battery contacts and then reinsert batteries.
-
Wiggle or spin batteries to ensure good contact.
-
Batteries will be fully charged in the following time:
-
14 - 16 hours for C and D sizes.
-
8 hours for AA, AAA, and 9-Volt sizes.
-
To unload AAA, AA, C and D size batteries, just pull up the ejector (marked PULL) with fingers. Batteries will pop up for easy removal.
-
To unload 9-Volt size just pull battery up until snaps disconnect.
